Ajmal Makan City is a new beachfront community in Sharjah of 8 islands and 2 bays. The community was created on the initiative of the Sheikh of Saudi Arabia, who bought 6,000 square meters of the city's coastal area. The development is being developed in partnership with the Government of Sharjah.
Construction began in 2018 and is expected to be completed by 2030. Experts predict real estate prices here will increase 10 times by the time of completion and the number of residents should increase to 50,000+.
The concept behind the construction of Ajmal Makan City is based on the idea of maximizing the coastline. For this purpose, a system of canals with constant and natural recirculation of sea water was created on the Sharjah coast. As a result, 8 islands have appeared.
According to the development plan, the community will have about 1,500 villas, several dozen residential complexes, 14 international hotels, a huge shopping center, a marina for yachts, three schools, a university, two hospitals, an island with entertainment, singing fountains.
Furthermore, the community will host a sea station offering regular routes to other Emirates and a tramline interconnecting the islands via car-accessible bridges.
Adjacent to Ajmal Makan City lies the Hamriyah port, a fisheries hub for international product exports, along with the Hamriyah free economic zone established in 1995. An upcoming meat and vegetable market further complements the vicinity.
